SmartRate Pro is a feature rich yield management program that uses hundreds of rates per station based upon user-defined variables such as inventory availability, buying patterns, and cycle of business. SmartRate Pro is inexpensive, user-friendly, and effective.
Created in a radio station, SmartRate Pro takes our stations' base rate and uses a series of multipliers that you prescribe to set a variable from your base rate. These variables are spot length, day part, day of week, length of contract, and the number of spots to create a rate for the spots placed.
With the spot cost displayed on the contract screen, your sales person and you advertiser can work in partnership to "negotiate" a desired rate by choosing alternate days or dayparts, and clearly demonstrate the value and cost benefits of an annual contract and additional stations in the buy.
The result is neatly printed, longer-term contract, deeper budget penetration, and a better use of your stations' inventory.
With SmartRate Pro, you decide who can do what and when. By simply clicking the appropriate boxes on the user rights screen, you determine which sales person or manager is allowed to write a trade or bonus schedule, who is allowed to override the stations rate, create and sell certain types of packages, and more.
With these privileges and restrictions in place, station rate control is automatic and you can concentrate on selling!
SmartRate Pro won't take time away from the pressing issues of operating your radio station.
Effective rates are created using multipliers but are conveniently displayed as dollars. Any changes you make, wheter in rate, new employees, packages, or whatever, are automatically distributed to all of our employees the next time they log in to SmartRate Pro.
Administering SmartRate Pro will take no more than 5 minutes per week!
"We created SmartRate because, in our cluster, we were finding it harder and harder to control the rates our reps were showing on the street. Let's face it, sales people want to sell ads. Customers want low rates. There are times when these two worlds collide with less than desirable results."
